11 août 26 Eclipse 2026 – Monumental Projections on the Radome

On August 12, 2026, the Parc du Radôme will host an exceptional astronomical event: a solar eclipse visible at more than 97% in Brittany.

To mark the occasion, from August 11 to 13, 2026, the Cité des Télécoms presents three evenings of monumental projections, blending science, poetry, and wonder against the spectacular backdrop of the Radome.

Tuesday, August 11: The Return of the Giant Projections!

During the day: the Cité des Télécoms exhibition center and the Radome are open during their usual opening hours.

In the evening: three monumental projections on the Radome’s outer membrane.

  • Doors open: 9:00 p.m.
  • Screenings begin: at nightfall
  • Admission: €12 by reservation (free for children under 6)
  • Suitable for all ages

The Radome Gets a Makeover (15 min)

Relive the spectacular 2025 Radome painting campaign. This documentary takes you behind the scenes of this extraordinary restoration project carried out to preserve our iconic historic monument.

 

 

 

Another Story of the Radome (23 min)

A touch of poetry, a hint of madness, and plenty of music… everything comes together to help you (re)discover the Radôme through a unique perspective filled with nostalgia and historical moments.

This film was created by La Belle Image and produced by the Cité des Télécoms. It has become our signature production.

 

 

Sphere (27 min)

A brand-new projection inviting you on a cinematic journey through nature and biodiversity.

Enjoy spectacular imagery, accessible scientific explanations, and a unique encounter with wildlife and the natural world.

 

Wednesday, August 12: Eclipse Day!

During the day: the exhibition center and the Radome remain open during normal opening hours.V
The Parc du Radôme will host science activities and family-friendly performances throughout the day.

In the evening: two major events follow one another.

Eclipse Observation

  • 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Free of charge, booking required through the Cité des Télécoms ticket office.
  • Eclipse glasses available for purchase on site (€3).

Proper eclipse glasses are essential to observe the eclipse safely.
They are already available in the Cité des Télécoms gift shop—be sure to get yours before the big day. First come, first served!

Monumental Projections on the Radome

  • Doors open: 9:00 p.m.
  • Screenings begin: at nightfall
  • Admission: €12 by reservation (free for children under 6)

The Dorothy Project (45 min)

Discover this scientific and human adventure imagined in 2017 by a team of passionate explorers.
Their mission: to explore and tell the story of Earth from the stratosphere.
A spectacular documentary offering breathtaking views of our planet while raising awareness of its beauty and the importance of protecting it.

 

Mission Umbra (12 min)

The evening continues with this immersive film that lets you experience a solar eclipse from space.

A unique visual experience offering a whole new perspective on this fascinating phenomenon.

 

Thursday, August 13: Final Projection Night!

Enjoy the same programme as Tuesday, August 11.

During the day: the exhibition center and the Radome are open during normal opening hours.

In the evening: three monumental projections on the Radôme.
