04 février 26 [BACK] The 2025 Radome painting campaign

In 2025, the Radome, the iconic symbol of the Cité des Télécoms and the world’s largest unsupported inflatable sphere (50 meters high), underwent its eleventh makeover. This major project combined high-pressure cleaning with the application of paint to preserve this unique monument.

An innovative method to renovate the Radome

For the first time, several aerial work platforms, reaching up to 90 meters in height, were used to safely access the entire surface of the membrane.
The work was carried out from top to bottom, unlike previous methods, allowing for an efficient alternation between washing and painting.
